Our very good friends from Versastyle Jackie and Leigh donated their Friday House Dance Class funds to our trip around the world. We want to give a big thank you to their continuing support of us and all of our artistic endeavors.  Both Angelo and I have worked for their dance company, which always is an energetic experience.  They both do a lot (which is still an understatement), for the hip-hop and street dance community.  From after school programs, to mentoring teens thru dance, and getting lower income kids into colleges – Jackie Lopez and Leigh Fooad are wonderful examples of people who grew up in Los Angeles and are giving directly back to their community.

Sometimes the general public forgets that the core of hip-hop is a social experience.   Popular culture inundates society with a somewhat misguided representation of hip-hop dance culture.  If you want to see a more  true representation of hip-hop and other street styles, try to catch one of the Versastyle shows.  It is truly an eye opening and invigorating experience.
