Musee Rodin and The Louvre

By Onisha • December 12, 2014 • Paris, Photography

As mentioned in the last post, both Angelo and I have been to Paris together once before. When we went to the Louvre last time, we had only had 2 hours of sleep the night before. You know that feeling when you are so tired your body hurts? Well that was us. So we planned a whole day centered around this museum. We picked the perfect day, the sun was out and although there were long lines, they moved quickly. There is so much to see, you could really spend three separate days seeing all of its contents. But Angelo and I rushed through it in one day. Our feet hurt but it was really awesome seeing all this fantastic art (I always love seeing Rembrandt).

On another day, we went to Musee Rodin. Auguste Rodin is a very well known French sculptor, known to many as the originator of modern sculpture. The museum is in the old Hotel Biron, where Rodin used to live. There is also works from his most famous protégée and outstanding artist on her own, Camille Claudel. I actually was looking forward to seeing Camille’s artwork more, but was disappointed as there was only two that I saw.

Onisha, did the musée not have the gallery w Ccamille’s work open? She is not featured in the garden but a collection of her work is exhibited inside. Jimmy loves her fine detail.

    Next time!

Yeah Robin, I didn’t see her work besides a small sculpture. I was looking out for her…oh well – next time indeed!!
