Tanah Lot

A couple of days ago we headed out to Tanah Lot, one of the seven sea temples in Bali.  We headed out in the afternoon because we wanted to capture the pictures at sunset.  We got caught in a very light rainstorm as we parked the motorbike, but kept on because we already drove to the location.  Tanah Lot has other temples right near and restaurants that line the hill so you can watch the horizon and take pictures of the temple.  There are many street vendors selling various trinkets and candies to tourists.  There are also shops that line the main road to the temple.  The temple itself is beautiful against the horizon and overlooking the sea.  After Angelo took off to take some photos and explore while I hung out with the locals, we went up a small hill and sat down at a table overlooking the cliff with the temple in the center.

We ate Nasi Goreng and had cool drinks as we watched the sun set behind the temple and over the water.  A very nice and relaxing experience.  You can also catch a fire show nearby if you have time.  We left after sunset as we are still navigating Bali on our scooter and unreliable gps – google maps.
